WILD MOOSE

Formerly known as the Moose Bar & Grill, this Haliburton icon has reopened as the “Wild Moose”, the county’s first of its kind “Public House”. The concept of a “Public House” (or “Pub”) dates back to the middle ages and is still an important part of life in the United Kingdom, where the “Public House” is the focal point of the community. It is a great place to talk, eat, drink and meet with friends or to just relax and enjoy a meal.

The Wild Moose has 3 separate areas to enjoy, the smaller pub room, the larger dining room that features live entertainment and the newly built 2,100 square foot raised outdoor patio overlooking scenic Lake Kashagawigamog. An ideal setting for a meal with a loved one, a get together with family and friends, or perhaps you are celebrating a special occasion… Let us help organize a party for you.

The Wild Moose is open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and has the largest selection of premium draft beer around, supplied 100% by Ontario Craft Brewers. These small breweries produce a distinctive variety of beer each with its own flagship brand and some seasonal specialties that are only available for short periods and in small quantities throughout the year. The Wild Moose is listed on the Ontario Craft Brewers’ website as an official carrier. A good excuse to drop by often to see what’s new on tap.
